I have been using some awesome products lately that I would like to share. I’ve been intrigued by the Korean skincare craze for awhile now and have used several products over the past few months. I’m really into anti-aging products now and love that the Korean products offer lots of quality ingredients and they are pretty much half the price of American or European brands.
Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask:Sounds crazy right? This winter, I had super dry lips and wanted to try some of these cool lip products that I have been reading about. I ordered this Korean product online. It comes with a little applicator that I love because I hate dipping my fingers in products. First off, it smells amazing, like mixed berries and it’s thick, but not like vaseline. I applied it just before bed, my lips soaked it up and they were soft and smooth in the morning.
Etude House Lip Jam Scrub: This lip scrub smells so good!! It smells like pure strawberries and leaves lips moisturized and free of dead skin. The best that I have ever tried! Perfect scrub before applying the lip sleeping mask.
Biore Baking Soda Cleanser: This is something I use on days when I don’t wear that much makeup. It is a quick and deep clean. I never have any type of residue remaining from this cleanser. I also like to use it with my Clarisonic Mia. My face feels fresh an clean every time.
Holika Holika Deep Cleansing Oil: This product is a step in the 10 step Korean skincare routine. It is the first in the double cleansing part of the routine. This oil based cleanser melts off makeup and leaves you with fresh skin. I love that it smells like soda and kind of bubbles up when you wash it off with water.
Jour D’ Hermes : I first found this on a whim at TJMAXX. I had never smelled this particular Hermes perfume before, but bought it without smelling first just because it was such a good price. It is now one of my favorite perfumes of all time! It is fresh, feminine and floral. High quality and a wonderful everyday perfume.
Rosebud Salve: This is a savior for my dry lips. I have the mint version and I love the smell. Pretty much anything made with roses and/ mint, I love. I like to put this on with a nude lip liner for a fresh look.
Missha Time Revolution Nigh Repair: A serum or ampoule is a step in the Korean 10 step skincare routine. Sounds like a bit much to most Americans, but your skin will feel so good and look radiant. This is supposed to be a dupe for the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair which is about $60 more! According to Missha, this serum contains antioxidants to repair and restore elasticity. It is applied after toner and before moisturizer. Even though it is thin, it adds a good bit of extra moisture that your skin needs to stay young. Great find!
Missha Time Revolution Essence: An essence is another step in the Korean 10 step system. According to Missha, the product “Provides soothing, hydrating, brightening, and wrinkle repairing benefits.” It is applied after washing your face by lightly tapping it into your skin. I’m into experimenting with anti aging products at the moment. I need to keep this skin looking good for as long as I can. 🙂
Voluspa Candles : I picked a set of 3 of these up at the last Nordstrom sale. Not only do they look pretty, they smell incredible! One of my favorites is the one pictured below, persimmon scent. It is fresh and fruity and fills the room with this beautiful scent.
Loreal Mascara: I first learned about this product from my beauty-maven sister, Candis. She has a Youtube channel here, where she shares all kinds of good info from fashion, beauty and mom stuff. This mascara is Life! I love the small brush and it makes my lashes stand out. Love, Love, Love!
Everyone Soap Mint & Coconut: This is a natural, plant based body wash and bubble bath that I use for my toddler. I prefer to use simple and natural products for him. This comes in a big bottle and lasts a long time. Plus, the smell is awesome!
